Job Summary

Provide engineering technical support and analysis to Transmission Business Units with regards to Transmission Line Operations, Inspections, Reliability and Asset Reporting.




  • Develop, implement, and maintain data collection, reporting systems, and engineering drawings on corporate mainframe and computer-based systems with a focus on improving the efficiency of work processes and keeping data systems current.
  • Evaluate, develop, maintain, and manage transmission line software, hardware, and reporting systems in relation to inspection data, operations data, material and labor estimating, line statistical data, reliability data, lightning data, line fault locating, mapping, the transmission line inspection & rehabilitation program, and the transmission vegetation management program.
  • Perform data verification and data enhancement through programming of mapping and database systems, specifically in MapInfo.
  • Use SAP to lookup Transmission work orders, such as completion date, cost, and other relevant information.
  • Provide data analytics & statistical reports to management using Excel macros or similar tools.
  • Perform database development & enhancement with SQL programming.
  • Design, code, document and develop webpage dashboards for reporting purposes.
  • Interface with inspectors, construction personnel, engineers, attorneys, and management regarding inspection, rehabilitation, reliability, and R&D issues.
  • Coordinate and/or perform transmission line inspection activities including job scheduling, field inspection, data collection, work order preparation, and quality assurance.
  • Support the distribution cap bank program by creating SAP notifications when needed.
  • Provide data analytics & statistical reports on capacitor bank work orders and notifications.



Education Description



  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college, university.



Experience



  • Requires a minimum of two to four years relevant experience that includes programming or knowledge of data structure analysis.
