About this Opportunity |
The Honors College seeks an aspiring administrator to assist the Dean in the leadership of the Honors College.
The Associate Dean of the Honors College recruits faculty from across campus to teach in honors, develops honors course schedules, and chairs the Honors College Curriculum Committee. The Associate Dean works with students, faculty, and alumni to create points of connection between the curricular aims of the college and co-curricular programming, including the new Honors Milestone Alumni Mentors program. The Associate Dean collaborates with faculty and departments from across campus to help develop and implement cross-college programming. (Internal Search Only)

Position Function |
Assist the Dean in the leadership of the Honors College. The Associate Dean of the Honors College recruits faculty from across campus to teach in honors, develops the honors course schedule, and chairs the Honors College Curriculum Committee. |
Minimum Education |
Earned terminal degree in an academic discipline. |
Minimum Experience |
Significant experience in higher education; administrative experience at the department, school, or other collegiate level. |
Minimum Other |
Demonstrated commitment to Honors education; demonstrated leadership in a variety of college and university level committees. |
Authorization to work in the US |
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. |

Preferred Experience |
Experience as departmental chairperson, school director, or similar administrative duties ; tenured associate or full professor or non-tenure-line associate or full teaching, research, clinical, or of-practice professor; a record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and professional service; successful experience in teaching in an Honors program or college; experience in Ball State's Honors College. |
Preferred Other |
Knowledge of the Ball State core curriculum, personnel, and procedures. |
