Job Summary
As a part of the Export and Regulatory Compliance team at pSemi, the Export and Regulatory Compliance Coordinator supports in executing and monitoring the organization's conformance to the requirements of government regulations and regulatory agencies. This role conducts and facilitates due diligence and other tasks to appropriately identify, evaluate, disclose, and remedy risks and deficiencies. This role further supports the Export and Regulatory Compliance team on other projects as needed.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
* Approving various export and access authorizations within the organization
* Assisting in the preparation and review of compliance documentation
* Ensuring that shipments comply with export control regulations, including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC regulations
* Coordinating with and supporting the organization's shipping and logistics teams in complying with export control regulations and documentation preparation
* Monitoring external engagements to ensure compliance with sanctions, programs and applicable denial orders
* Coordinating with internal teams to audit export compliance processes and procedures
* Promoting a business culture of trade compliance and ethics
* Assisting with other regulatory compliance matters as needed
Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
* Typically requires 2 to 3 years of related experience
* Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn about global trade and compliance regulations
* Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal skills including effective teamwork and collaboration
* Comfortable interacting with people at all levels of the organization, adjusting style based on the audience
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to self-manage and balance numerous priorities
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when needed
* Microsoft Office Suite experience
Preferred Qualifications
* Basic understanding of international business concepts, such as import/export processes, supply chain logistics, customs regulations, etc.
* Project management, legal, or supply chain experience
* Experience with US, EU, UK trade regulations
* Experience in the Semiconductor or High-Tech industries
* Prior work, internship, or academic experience in a related area or legal field
Education Requirements
* Bachelor's degree, preferable in Business Administration, International Business, Political Science, International Relations, Law, or a related field
