STS Engineering Solutions (STSES) is now hiring three experienced Materials Analysts to support a major Part 121 air carrier with inventory and purchase order audits. This 1099 contract role begins onsite in Denver, Colorado for two weeks, followed by remote support for the duration of the assignment, which may last 3 to 12 months.

We are seeking detail-driven professionals with a strong background in aircraft materials management, vendor coordination, and M&E systems auditing. This is an ideal opportunity for self-starters who excel in independent work but thrive in team environments.


Position Summary

You will be responsible for executing two key audit projects involving materials orders and aged inventory. Your role will ensure accuracy in records, system corrections, and vendor coordination to support inventory clean-up objectives.


Key Responsibilities
Project 1: Inventory Audit & Clean-Up

  • Audit open materials orders and research order history
  • Determine ownership status of parts (airline vs. vendor pool)
  • Locate and verify part locations to facilitate returns to contracted stations
  • Partner with Buyers and vendors to clarify order status
  • Correct data in TRAX and/or AMOS

Project 2: Aging Purchase Order Audit

  • Coordinate directly with vendor reps to confirm order status
  • Work with Purchasing and Accounts Payable teams as needed
  • Investigate order history and transactions to correct misinformation
  • Audit and fix part number mismatches or status errors
  • Perform corrections in TRAX, AMOS, or equivalent system

Required Qualifications

  • Must be available to work onsite in Denver for the first 2 weeks
  • Experience in materials management and inventory auditing
  • Prior vendor management experience is strongly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with aircraft records in TRAX and/or AMOS
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, web-based platforms, SharePoint, and data entry systems
  • Able to sit for extended periods and work efficiently with digital records
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Willing to comply with all confidentiality and non-disclosure policies

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working with shared vendor part pools
  • Familiarity with aviation inventory movement and tracking
  • Strong analytical mindset with a high-performance work ethic
