The Director of Security will oversee all security operations and initiatives for Atlantic Aviation. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of facilities, personnel, customers, and aircraft operations. This position will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves close collaboration with internal corporate teams, law enforcement, filed operations and other stakeholders to proactively manage risk and address security threats. Key responsibilities include conducting regular security assessments, incident response review and planning, and creating strategies to safeguard physical aspects of the operations and partnering with IT on cybersecurity issues. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex security issues while delivering exceptional service to customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Identify potential security threats, conduct risk assessments, and implement preventive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Respond to and investigate all security-related incidents; utilize the Origami system for root cause analysis and creating responses to action items for all security related incidents
  • Perform internal security audits and gap analyses.
  • Review security-related audits conducted by Regional Safety & Security Managers.
  • Work closely and collaborate with the Director of Risk & Safety
  • Collaborate with IT on major security infrastructure projects and remedies for outstanding security deficiencies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial inquiries regarding customer and security matters.
  • Provide security training and resources to field personnel as needed.
  • Manage internal security communications and updates.
  • Monitor industry security developments, including TSA and GA security threats.
  • Partner with industry organizations to share and adopt best security practices.
  • Coordinate with local security coordinators at FBOs to ensure compliance with the company's security plan.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and updates of the company's security plans.
  • Work closely with third-party security auditors on evaluations, follow-up, and corrective action implementation.
  • Update security training programs to ensure they are relevant.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Utilizing the new Origami safety management system to identify potential security indicators and assist with implementing strategies to reduce security risk and mitigate losses.
  • Represent Atlantic Aviation in a professional and positive manner.
  • Communication of work progress and significant issues with the SVP of Risk & Safety
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel will include event support at high profile events throughout the year to provide a security presence and ensure security measures have been implemented prior to an event
  • Travel requirements could be up to 50%

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • 5 - 8 Years of security or safety experience.
  • Operation experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of security.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff and employees.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience with risk management software/systems preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Be able to pass extensive background check.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Travel will be required to bases up to (50%).
