Sr Researcher will be performing hands-on work executing cell line development and antibody developability assessment for biologics programs. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and validating assays to support developability screening and cell line development efforts to support and collaborate with our discovery and bioprocess development teams. The individual may also support cell culture process development and optimization activities in areas of research cell bank evaluation, inoculum expansion, bioreactor production and harvest operations. The individual will also assist in evaluating, designing, and implementing new technologies and instruments, and support effective cross-function communication

Job Summary

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and effectively use current laboratory equipment and supplies, run and improve standard procedures.
  • Maintain accurate of experimental results, finish notebook in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Communicate results to supervisor, share experimental results with team, present data on group meeting.
  • Propose the design of experiments, contribute to exploration of new ideas, and perform research activities.
  • Evaluate and implement novel technologies to enable more efficient selection and screening of lead candidates and targets

Requirements

  • BS/MS in biology or related field with 2-6 years of laboratory experience
  • Willingness and ability to learn new instrumentation, software, and laboratory techniques
  • Possess excellent aseptic and mammalian cell culture techniques
  • Self-motivated, possess critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with molecular and cell biology techniques such as PCR and molecular cloning, protein expression
  • Experience generating stable cell lines for protein/antibody expression
  • Experience in developability analysis of proteins, such as DSC, DSF, SDS-PAGE, BLI, FACS
