Position Summary:

The internship will run from June 9th- August 8th

  • Engineering & Nuclear Safety Intern: Engineering is responsible for providing technical solutions to N3B in the areas of electrical, mechanical, civil, and nuclear engineering.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):

  • Engineering & Nuclear Safety Intern: The engineering intern will support N3B Engineering. The Intern will assist the engineering staff by reviewing and recommending process improvements and supporting engineering staff with projects related to the facilities. The Intern will tour facilities and have other learning opportunities N3B develops for this year's intern group.
  • Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
  • Must be currently enrolled in a 2-4 year engineering program at an accredited university.
  • Must currently have and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5. Please provide transcripts.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Good written and oral skills. Level of language skills, mathematical skills, communication skills, reasoning ability and computer skills necessary to perform essential functions of the job. Ability to work in a team oriented project environment.

Business Associations:

Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor and other personnel in the section or group.

Impact:

Contributions are usually limited to task-related activities. Errors do not typically have a major effect on the organization.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Normally assigned to perform work in an office environment. Only electrical hazards and other minor potential hazards normally found in an office environment are anticipated. Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the discipline. Office work environment.

While working to achieve N3B LLCC objectives, the N3B Summer Intern will ensure all activities and operations are performed in a safe and deliberate manner to include protecting the confidentiality and integrity of Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This role will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety, security and quality an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
