Position Description

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II comprehends and performs assigned manual/automated production equipment maintenance and troubleshooting tasks according to established standard operating procedures. Performs routine equipment/system repair, system/equipment installation & preventive maintenance. May work from sketches, drawings and equipment/system manuals.

- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all production equipment to schedule, per Standard Operating Procedures and as required.

- Adhere to and accurately complete all production-related documentation.

- Comply with all company and regional policies including: Safety Program, Hazard Communication Program, Lock Out Tag Out program & Work Safety Procedures.

- Perform and assist with machine set ups.

- Trouble-shoot and resolve equipment failure.

- Maintain accurate inventory levels of spare parts and supplies.

- Create purchase requisitions for equipment parts and service contracts.

- Communicate with vendors to arrange service visits.

- Completion of preventive maintenance records and other check forms.


Position Requirements

- High School diploma or equivalent with 5-7 years of related work experience.

- Knowledge of general and detailed job tasks; limited supervision required.

- Knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment.

- Able to use general/automated laboratory equipment.

- Familiarity with computers and basic MS Office applications.

- Able to plan the use of equipment, materials and personal time efficiently.

- Able to complete production-related documentation accurately.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

- May require work with potentially biohazardous and/or chemically hazardous materials.

- Work safely and effectively in a team environment.

- Organization and attention to detail.

- Able to communicate issues and problems to supervisors.

- The work environment is fast-paced and involves the ability to quickly change priorities and multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor.
