The Senior Director, Learning & Organization Development (L&OD) is a strategic leader responsible for integrating learning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness to drive business performance and employee engagement. Leading North America's L&D and OD teams, this role partners with global and regional stakeholders to build future-ready leaders, strengthen talent pipelines, and enhance workforce agility. Sitting on the HR Strategy & Talent Development Leadership team, this leader will develop enterprise-wide talent programs, ensure seamless integration between learning and organizational development strategies, and drive initiatives that support both immediate business needs and long-term growth. Essential Functions: Learning & Development (L&D):
- Define and implement a clear, business-aligned learning and leadership development strategy.
- Oversee the Director of L&D in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for employees at all levels.
- Leverage innovative learning technologies and methodologies to foster a culture of continuous development.
- Expand and scale enterprise-wide talent development programs to accelerate readiness for critical roles.
- Strengthen structured training and mentorship programs (e.g., MentorcliQ) to connect employees with career growth opportunities.
- Enhance leadership development through programs like the Manager Journey, ensuring new and experienced managers receive essential skills and support.
- Design tailored early-career development pathways to cultivate future leaders.
Organization Development (OD) & Talent Management:
- Lead organizational effectiveness initiatives, including change management, leadership development, and team effectiveness.
- Oversee succession planning, high-potential development, and workforce planning to ensure leadership readiness.
- Partner with business leaders to assess organizational capabilities and drive strategies that enhance performance.
- Strengthen performance management processes to provide structured feedback, career pathing, and development opportunities.
- Expand the Talent Development Program with targeted development pathways for emerging leaders.
- Oversee People Reviews & Succession Planning frameworks to mitigate skill gaps and enhance leadership pipelines.
- Drive innovation through Talent Lab, leveraging internal and external data, benchmarks, and platforms like Workday to enhance talent strategy.
Is this job for you ?
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 12+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Organization Development, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience designing and executing enterprise-wide talent development and organizational effectiveness strategies.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
- Expertise in succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement strategies.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or similar industry preferred.
- Demonstrated success in recommending solutions, delivering results, prioritizing tasks, driving toward timely and accurate completion, and shifting easily between high-level and detailed information to provide timely and appropriate responses.
- Ability to build and foster partnerships across various stakeholders and develop collaborative working relationships with a strong emphasis on talent management
- Focus on continuous improvement with excellent application of translating strategies into action
- Experience with Canva and AI tools for content creation/efficiencies a plus
