What's the job?

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Manager - Quality and Digital Manufacturing is a multi-faceted role with wide-ranging plant responsibilities.

Primary duties include responsibility for all aspects of plant and product quality produced at the Plymouth, WI location, including the management of Supplier Quality and Customer complaints. Second, this role will be responsible for the launch, development, and maintenance of key initiatives driven through the Corporate Digital Manufacturing team.

The primary initiative is to improve digital data collection, reporting, and real-time automated daily KPI reporting and management as specified through Saint-Gobain's World Class Manufacturing Pillars.

70% Quality



  • Foster a team environment and build relationships outside the department as well as outside the company (suppliers, customers, certification/regulatory agencies, etc.).
  • Responsible for the MES - Quality Module; managing and maintaining content in addition to ensuring plant conformance and compliance to internal specifications.
  • Maintain onsite calibration program
  • Manage all plant-controlled quality documentation through the use of Corporate change management systems (LiveLink)
  • Complaint management including sample analysis, investigation, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support Product Management team; Sales and Customer Service, to validate claims costs.
  • Perform job site visits for significant customer incidents
  • Investigation of technologies/methodologies for improving product quality monitoring and process controls.
  • Maintain applicable product certifications.
  • Maintenance and organization of Quality-related documents and records for traceable products in accordance with the Record Retention Policy.
  • Develop KPI's to track Quality metrics; followed by ongoing status reports.


30% Digital Manufacturing



  • Manage or partner with Plant Engineer to execute digital manufacturing projects at the site level based on corporate initiatives.
  • Evaluate, trial, and provide recommendations on various hardware and software to be used in aiding and driving continuous improvements resulting in production efficiencies
  • Develop SOP and work instructions for digital processes, including point-of-use user training
  • Support cost savings opportunities throughout the plant
  • Assist Plant Engineer with both Process Engineering and sustainability projects driving towards Saint Gobain's goal to Net Zero by 2035

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
  • Green or Black Belt certification is preferred
  • 4+ Years experience as a Quality Manager - managing Quality Assurance processes and leading teams
