Health Systems Specialist - OCAO - IHS

JOB SUMMARY: Provide Health Systems Specialist services to support to management by analyzing, developing, implementing, evaluating, advising on, and coordinating health care delivery systems for the Tribal Self-Determination Department.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Personally perform and/or participates in the development, and implementation of the day to day management of financial reports for the Title I Tribes.
• Compiles, maintains, and continually analyzes statistics and data which may reveal the need for increased emphasis on projects or programs by Indian contractors.
• Monitors grantee/contractor performance of projects assigned to determine level of performance in meeting terms, conditions, goals, and objectives as described in work schedules and the limits of budget, manpower, and expenditures.
• Reviews and approve progress and financial reports, and other items required for approval.
• Makes site visits to ISDEAA facility as required, to review actual performance versus scheduled and reported performance, or changes in technical performance which may affect financial status, personnel or labor difficulties.
• Provides advice and technical assistance to tribes, tribal and Indian organizations in the development, implementations, and evaluation of health financing and health delivery program standards for all contract programs.
• Participates in selected OCAO projects as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
