The Materials Science Department at Missouri S&T is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with faculty members and fellow researchers on a variety of cutting-edge projects. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in academic research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct experiments and analyze data to support ongoing research projects
• Assist in preparing research reports, publications, and presentations
• Collaborate with faculty and fellow researchers on project development, contributing to the development of research strategies and methodologies
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment

• Bachelor's degree
• Strong interest in research and willingness to learn new techniques and methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
• Prior research experience or laboratory skills are a plus
