Your Role at Cabot
Cabot Corporation is seeking a North America Regional Packaging Procurement & Logistics Manager to join the Global Logistics & Packaging team at any of the following Cabot locations: Alpharetta, GA / Franklin, LA / Ville Platte, LA or Pampa, TX. The North America Regional Packaging Procurement & Logistics Manager is responsible for actively managing all Logistics & Packaging procurement activities for all North America sites and businesses. The role provides strategic and tactical services to all business segments in Cabot for transportation, warehousing and Packing procurement. This role has full budget (~$100MM) and supplier management responsibility, and it is actively engaging with business to meet customer needs. It's also responsible for delivering innovative and sustainable logistics and procurement packaging solutions that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Creating value through strategic sourcing, advanced technology, and a commitment to environmental responsibility, supporting the overall success and growth of Cabot. In addition, this role is in charge of best-in-class supplier performance management, supplier life cycle management and supplier quality assessment. You will also provide market intelligence to internal stakeholders and will be the go-to person for all strategic Logistics and Packaging matters. Internal applicants will be considered from any Cabot location. External applicants need to be located at a reasonble commutable distance from any of the following Cabot locations: Alpharetta, GA / Franklin, LA / Ville Platte, LA or Pampa, TX. This role is eligible to participate in Cabot's current Flexible Working Arrangement/hybrid program (Monday/Friday remote and Tuesday-Thursday in office).
How You Will Make an Impact
Supplier Selection & Management:
Budget and Supplier Selection responsibility for Logistics services in the Region, in
coordination with the P2D Global Logistics team
- Ensures high visibility of the Supplier performance and optimized selection process
- based on quality, efficiency, service and cost. This includes the responsibility &
- management of RFQ's and RFI's. Ensures a best in class Supplier management
- (KPI's), service level agreements and Scorecards in place for all critical suppliers.
Process Improvements & Innovation:
- Implements and manages business and service plans for the region. Works with senior management and other internal (IT, GBS, Businesses/Sales, Quality) and external customers to ensure satisfactory and efficient services for all activities.
- In charge to drive innovation in the Logistics activities. Develops best in class Transportation Management Systems and EDI Solutions, drives paperless initiatives and continuous improvements and development of innovative packaging solutions.
- Participates in the review of processes, procedures and standards. Ensures performance meets or exceeds standards and goals. Proposes improvements to existing methods to enhance quality, efficiency, reliability, innovation and continuity of service.
- Leads supplier performance reviews including salesforce case reviews. Participates in monthly S&OP Calls and Quality Board Meetings to continuously improve the supplier performance and enhance the business needs & expectations.
Operations & Business Support:
- Provides leadership and resolution to escalated service problems coming from GBS Delivery Centers, Sales or Business Leaders. Manages Root Cause Analysis and drives actively corrective actions with Suppliers and aligns with Stakeholders on updates made in Salesforce.
- Develops and maintains business relationships with internal & external parties, which may include customers, third-party service providers, vendors as well as internal groups. Is actively involved in customer and sales meetings.
Financial Requirements:
- Manages Logistics budgets; oversees data and related costs and provides input to the
- long-range planning process. Manages the travel & expense budget.
People Development:
- Provides leadership and guidance to the operations teams to ensure efficiency & effectiveness in the cooperation across Logistics operations and processes.
Policies & Compliance Management:
- Ensures compliance with policies, procedures including safety, internal control, Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and ISO 9000 standards.
- Manages the review of the harmonized tariff codes.
- Provides support to the Business for the review of Free Trade Agreements and the set-up of the approved exporter / AEO status of Production Sites.
What You Will Bring to Cabot
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Management, Logistics or Category related discipline
- 5+ years' packaging procurement experience
- Combined experience in logistics, transportation, and/or warehouse.
- Experienced in dealing and negotiating with Rail carriers
- Experience in the chemicals or industrial sector on the shipper side is preferred
- Experienced in running regional RFQ's for packaging material and transportation in B2B & chemical industry
- Strong network in Packaging North America
- Good technical understanding of Packaging, Packaging design and technology
- Well experienced in the Global, NA Logistics & Packaging markets
- Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills.

- Possess project management, planning, and organizational capabilities.
