Overview

This Associate position plays a central role in the origination and underwriting of bridge loans.



Responsibilities

Essential Functions

    Builds and maintains financial models to perform analysis under different operating scenarios.
  1. Performs full valuation, DSCR and debt yield analyses on real estate collateral nationwide.
  2. Participates in day-to-day deal execution, capital recycling needs, interacting with senior deal team members, client management teams, transaction counterparties and other advisors.
  3. Manages due diligence processes, including preparing virtual data rooms, tracking, and coordinating the information flow, and reviewing and analyzing company, sponsor, and market information.
  4. Orders and reviews third party appraisals, environmental, engineering, zoning, insurance, title, and legal documents.
  5. Prepares asset summary reports and other deliverables for credit committee presentations.
  6. Monitors and evaluates current events related to CMBS and real estate markets nationwide.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 2-5+ years commercial real estate finance experience. Bridge Lending experience preferred.

Preferred Requirements

  • Strong financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills.
  • Broad knowledge of the CRE finance industry, as well as a basic understanding of legal and tax aspects related to real estate transactions.
  • Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner.
  • Ability to conduct thorough, independent research.
  • Outstanding ethics, integrity, and judgment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Position is required to travel up to 25 percent.

Salary Range: $85,475 - $136,761 Annually
