Applications are being accepted for the creation of an Adjunct Shelf for the possible vacancies for the Fall 2025 semester on the Adjunct Faculty staff of Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, New York.

Adjunct Instructor, Nursing, Surgical Technology HV-ADJ-SurgTechF25

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in Surgical Assisting/Surgical Technology or a Registered Nurse; possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA); have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years. Previous experience and/or desire to engage in distance learning initiatives is also preferred.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: This vacancy announcement is to identify qualified instructors in the field of Nursing who may be called upon to teach courses in the Nursing Program. Adjunct Instructors report to the Department Chair and have the following duties:

Provide instruction in Surgical Technology Courses.
Evaluates student performance.

Participation on departmental, division wide, and College wide committee for the purpose of building community and fulfilling aspirations of professional development is encourage and supported.

At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
