Job Summary: Qlarant is seeking a dedicated and analytical Scientist/Statistician to join our team on a full-time, regular basis. As a Scientist/Statistician at Qlarant, you will play a pivotal role in driving our mission forward by applying statistical techniques to complex data sets, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning. Your work will directly contribute to the advancement of our services and solutions within the industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing experiments, analyzing data, interpreting results, and providing actionable insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and help solve challenging problems. Your ability to communicate complex statistical concepts to non-experts will be crucial in ensuring that data-driven strategies are effectively implemented. You will also be expected to stay abreast of the latest statistical methodologies and best practices, ensuring that Qlarant remains at the forefront of the industry. Travel requirements for this role are negligible, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality work from your remote location. As a Scientist/Statistician at Qlarant, you will be responsible for the scientific integrity of work products for specified contracts, including study design, research methodology, and deployment of statistical approaches and epidemiologic validity of the projects. Tasks may encompass quasi-experimental study design, feasibility assessment, sampling, statistical methods employed, and the overall reliability and validity of the processes employed, either through direct intercession or through professional consultation. Required Skills
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: * Analyzes and summarizes data in clear, concise reports for other operations groups and outside entities.
* Assists in new business development, as required. Assists in preparing findings for publishing in peer reviewed journals.
* Assures adequate sample size calculations for the hypothesis and study design.
* Assures quality assurance procedures are performed on all work products before the product is delivered.
* Communicates effectively through various media, including written reports and oral presentations.
* Creates statistical approaches and analyzes data generated by multiple providers or from various review processes (e.g., identifying benchmarks or care, peer groups, and stratification).
* Demonstrates thorough leadership, contributes to innovation, process improvements, and standardization.
* Designs, develops, implements, tests and executes functionality to aide other operational groups and team members in automating their day-to-day processes.
* Designs, develops, implements, tests and executes functionality to detect fraud schemes based on project team member requirements elicitation, if applicable.
* Designs, implements, tests, and executes statistical and methodological strategies.
* Develops and implements statistical strategies for priority setting in terms of targeted areas for improvement or focused investigation.
* Trends data to identify potential opportunities (e.g., variances, significant outliers, percentile ranked groups) for quality improvement or focused investigations.
* Updates and maintains data that originates from outside data sources.
* Within the constraints of contract requirements, has considerable opportunity to interpret guidelines and instructions and choose among alternative courses of action.
* Writes technical reports, quality improvement studies, and other reports as appropriate, and is primarily responsible for their technical defensibility and accuracy. Required Experience
