Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company Starting Wage: $28.61/hour + $5.00/hour shift differential Shift: Gold, Wednesday - Friday 5:00PM - 5:00AM + available overtime Location: Owatonna, MN What's in it for you: Paid Time Off 88 Hours of Holiday Pay Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Plans 401K Match Tuition Reimbursement Referral Bonus Program Growth Opportunities Climate Controlled Facility What you will do: Sets up, programs and operates brake presses in accordance with outlined methods and procedures to safely and properly form various parts Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template Positions work piece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation Adjusts on machine and programs as required Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces Stacks, marks, labels and transports finished work pieces May on occasion assemble subassemblies Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production Responsible for maintaining the 5s program to ensure a clean work area Follow and understand HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standards Read and interpret blueprints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products, including machine adjustments and material requirements per engineering requirements Ability to use hand tools Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License All other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Ability to operate hand tools Ability to read and understand written English Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Previous manufacturing experience Benefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple Medical insurance plan options + Dental and Vision insurance 401K retirement plan with employer contributions matching 100% of the first 3% of employee contributions and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributions Company provided life insurance + optional employee paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage and voluntary accident coverage Short term disability and optional employee paid voluntary long term disability 80 hours Paid Time Off for new employees, if hired prior to June 30 88 hours company paid holidays 48 hours of paid sick and safe time, prorated based on start date Tuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service Daikin Applied Americas Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from minorities, woman, the disabled, protected veterans, and other qualified applicants.
