This position is part of a team that supports the USINDOPACOM Alpha contract. The Exercise Planner will leverage their background in intelligence, operations, planning and analysis at both Tactical and Strategic levels. Their expertise in the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) will be crucial in developing operational concepts to meet Joint training needs. This position plays a crucial role in the planning, execution, and assessment of exercises and operations within the USINDOPACOM area of responsibility.



Responsibilities

    Plan, coordinate and execute component participation in assigned Joint Chiefs of Staff and service exercises.
  • Develop, plan, and execute complex exercise scenarios in support of USINDOPACOM operational objectives.
  • Support exercise planning across the Joint Event Life Cycle.
  • Support training plans and program development.
  • Assist in management of the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) and other exercise information management systems.
  • Brief senior military and civilian leaders on intelligence and exercise-related topics.
  • Consolidate and draft Exercise Summary Reports (ESR) related to exercise objectives, training objectives, and future design modifications.
  • Coordinate and develop after action reports (AARs) that meet exercise requirements.


Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications: The Exercise Planner must bring extensive experience and knowledge in intelligence operations and exercise within a Joint, MACOM, or ASCC, Corps or theater staff environment. Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education and Experience: This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

The following are desirable levels of experience:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience at Higher Headquarters organization (e.g. MAJCOM, equivalent or above)
  • Comprehensive understanding of Joint, Corps, and Theater ISR assests, capabilities and tasking and employment
  • Operational and/or logistical experience in the Asia-Pacific Theater and supporting Theater Security Cooperation efforts highly preferred

Work Location: Work is performed in Honolulu, HI.

Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance required. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergencies.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 to $160,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
