Overview Milliman's Indianapolis Health practice is hiring an Associate Actuary (ASA) for our growing portfolio of Behavioral Health and Child Welfare Team projects. The position will advise public sector clients on program financing. The Associate will lead client interactions and assist in leading analytics, project management, and review. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial and analytical background combined with detailed knowledge of human services and other public health programs; experience in child welfare and/or Medicaid programs is required. Consulting projects include: analysis of public health and human service program design, payment rate development, and analysis of provider/agency financial information. This person will work with other consultants as part of a multi-disciplinary project team. This position is ideal for a self-starter interested in a fast-paced, high growth opportunity. The Team The Behavioral Health & Child Welfare team is a group of 20+ colleagues, from varying backgrounds, including actuaries, data analysts, and child welfare consultants. This team works primarily with state Medicaid and child welfare agencies on rate setting and financial policy projects. The team often collaborates with members of other teams (i.e. Policy, Medicaid Financial Reporting, Healthcare Management) to best serve our clients unique needs. Location The person hired for this role will work in a dynamic, hybrid environment, with 2 to 3 days per week of on-site work required in our Indianapolis office on a weekly basis.
