Job Title - Safety Technician - Commercial

Location - Various domestic locations

What You Will Do



  • Assist the Senior/Project Safety Manager and is responsible for helping to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for employees in a variety of construction settings.
  • Works closely with members of the workforce, employees, supervisors, and management to identify, evaluate, and eliminate safety hazards in the workplace.
  • Assists in the creation and implementation of safety programs, assists in safety training, and assists in conducting safety observations and inspections.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintaining of safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Assist in the inspection process of the project, equipment, and operations to identify potential safety hazards and assist in putting controls in place that will prevent reoccurrence.
  • Assist in providing safety training to employees and management on a regular basis.
  • Assists in the investigation of accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans.
  • Monitor safety performance in the workplace and provide feedback to employees and management.
  • Assist in maintaining safety records and documentation.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of safety incentive programs.
  • Attend safety and planning meetings advantageous to safe workplace.


  • Working Conditions - Construction setting, travel required, full time. Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for longs periods of time, lift and hold in excess of 50lbs, talk, hear and occasionally sit. Must have the ability to withstand confined spaces and or/extreme heights while negotiating tasks at hand in a safe manner to themselves and/or others. Subject to hot, cold, humid and wet conditions depending on location.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Effective written and verbal communication skills, including strong interpersonal abilities for professional interaction with colleagues and clients. Excellent organization skills with a keen attention to detail. Working knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Education / Experience - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is recommended. Certifications, Licenses, etc.: OSHA Construction 30 Hour Course within the past three years.

While the salary range is typically between $55,225 - $73,600 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors prior experience, education, and qualifications of applicants in order to make attractive and competitive offers.
