SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Maintenance Foreman - Midland Basin is responsible for management, execution, and continuous improvement of the production operations Maintenance Program to ensure it is completed safely, with high quality, and in accordance with regulatory requirements and company expectations. The maintenance program includes approximately 120,000 BOED (60,000 BOPD) of Midland Basin production assets, including typical wells, infrastructure, and tank batteries. The role will interface with the Delaware Basin maintenance foreman, compressor foreman, midstream superintendent, brownfield engineering, I&E foreman, and others to ensure appropriate maintenance plans are in place and functioning. The role will also include directing brownfield construction-related activities from initial conception through completion. Provides planning and documentation support of routine maintenance related to surface infrastructure. Implements and administers company policies and procedures as delegated by management. The Maintenance Foreman - Midland Basin will supervise multiple Vital Energy technicians, as well as occasionally supervise contract crews related to oil and gas facilities, pipeline construction, and repair operations. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is normally performed outdoors where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes, and gases is common. Noise level is moderate to loud and includes sounds of construction, equipment operations, trucks, and other similar equipment. Job hazards include working in normal light and heavy construction activities and working around pressured equipment, water, electricity, and high pressure oil/gas lines and under all weather conditions. May work in areas where H2S is present. Overtime is sometimes required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level. Work may require frequent pushing, pulling, or carrying of 50-to-75-pound objects such as tools, or equipment work operations. Work involves standing and walking most of the time but will also involve sitting and driving for extended periods sometimes over rough terrain. |
