Facilities Custodian Job

- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room and public areas

ACTIVITIES

- Leads development, implementation and management of the roadmaps identifying key areas of knowledge risk and providing solutions and plans to bridge gaps,
- Perform general clean-up of all areas as directed
- Manage routine upkeep of interior and exterior areas, including field and parking lot
- Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified direction
- Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for pick-up
- Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
- Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped
- Ability to paint and touch-up small areas
- Set up and teardown equipment for special events
- Operate a forklift on a minimal basis
- Move or breakdown/reassemble furniture

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

- Position based in Mulberry, Florida in a Chemical Facility.
- Must be able to safely perform all the duties of the job.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively
- Capable of bending, climbing, stooping, and standing for long periods of time on concrete.
- Frequent walking in a large production facility.
- Comfortable with outdoor working conditions, routinely exposed to the elements.
- Must be able to pass a post-offer/pre-placement drug screen, background check and job-related pulmonary function test.

- Willingness to work early morning or late nights
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision
- Capacity to take direction
- Strong attention to detail

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- High school diploma/GED required
- 2+ years janitorial experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
