Job Summary:
Maintain production maintenance inventory management system along with maintenance and growth of database to anticipate business needs. Receive, store and issue consumables, spare parts, tools, machine tool fixtures, and measuring devices. Maintain records of parts and tools issued and in stock. Conduct periodic inventory and requisitions stock as needed. Prepare inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts.
Job Responsibilities:
* Management of spare parts inventory management system
* Create, edit, and maintain new SOPs and processes for inventory management
* Interface with production maintenance staff/engineers to determine a comprehensive parts
program for critical systems
* Interface with engineering to determine a comprehensive parts list for new equipment
* Interface with engineering to determine alternative parts for obsolete parts
* Document parts/tool inventory adjustments and prepare periodic inventory reports of parts
* Direct contractors in setting up areas or systems used in inventory storage
* Research equipment/manuals to generate parts lists
* Enter and maintain data in a computerized system
* Work with various vendors concerning routine and emergency orders
* Organize parts and consumables in designated areas of the facility to support maintenance
and production needs
* Research alternate vendors for cost savings
* Responsible for observing all Company, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree and 1-3 years related experience, MS/MBA and 0-2 years related experience, or the equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel and Word
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA guidelines for storage and disposal of maintenance materials
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Familiar with MicroMain, Maximo or a similar inventory system
