Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences (Harriot College, https://thcas.ecu.edu/) employs approximately 450 full-time faculty and staff, and the Dean's Office oversees all budget, personnel and academic matters in its departments, interdisciplinary programs, centers, institutes, and auxiliary offices. Harriot College is home to 16 academic departments and offers more than 50 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Job Duties
INTERNAL POSTING: Open only to applicants currently employed by East Carolina University.
The purpose of the Troxler Distinguished Professorship fund is to allow the Department to retain an eminent scholar and teacher at the full Professor rank who will serve as a role model for faculty and students at East Carolina University. As the fund agreement doesn't detail specific restrictions on expenditures, the intention is to potentially provide salary support, professional travel, conference participation, academic and professional dues, and similar items from the spendable distribution of the fund to support the Distinguished Professor. This professor is expected to generate substantial research visibility and interact with other faculty, placing special attention on mentoring and engagement with junior faculty. Only internal applicants from the Department of Economics may apply. Those who hold the rank of Professor may apply. The duration of the position is AY 2025-26, AY 2026-27 with the possibility of a subsequent appointment.
Contingent upon availability of funds.

Must currently hold tenure and the rank of full Professor in the Department of Economics.
