Title: Administrative Assistant- Epoxy 1 and 2
Location: Freeport, TX

Salary: $53,000 - $73,000
Schedule: 9/80 or 5/8s

Focus: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for overseeing and managing several administrative and operational functions within the Epoxy 1 and 2 department.

The Freeport site is the single largest chlor alkali complex in the world with more than 1,000 employees. The chemical products produced at our Freeport location include chlorine and caustic soda, vinyls, epoxies, chlorinated organics, aromatics, bleach, hydrogen, and hydrochloric acid.

Administrative Assistant Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage and oversee the library implementer. Administer the Documentum electronic document management system and ensure compliance with Olin's Retention Policy.
  • Manage payroll, schedules and employee questions.
  • Gather department data and prepare routine reports; design and maintain spreadsheets utilizing various software packages (Microsoft Office Suites, Essential Suites).
  • Perform general administrative tasks including mail, records and file maintenance, procurement of office supplies, manage Production Leader's calendar, schedule and coordinate events, and manage site e-mail distribution lists. Serve as focal point and resource for computer software, office tools, telephones and phone mail with little direction from supervisor.
  • Provide support for new member on-boarding process and department transfers (i.e.: manage organizational charts, distribution lists, computer registration, employee ID's, etc.).
  • Schedule and coordinate events (service recognition, plant recognition, United Way, community event, etc.).

Administrative Assistant Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree* preferred
  • 2+ years of administrative experience
  • Experience using MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Learning Management Systems
  • Prior payroll experience preferred; Kronos experience preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
  • Must possess a valid US Driver's license
