Two (2) years of experience that demonstrate skill progression and working knowledge of modern GIS programs, i.e., ArcGIS, and/or related software applications. ESRI ArcGIS Certification or ESRI training certificates that demonstrate proficiency in GIS essential commands, data editing, and essential workflows, or obtain within one (1) year of hire or promotion. *Key Responsibilities* Performs skilled to highly skilled technical work in the processing and maintenance of municipal geospatial data for underground and above-ground infrastructure. Updates, verifies, and transfers geographical data and prepares maps and reports as directed. Converts various forms of data in updating and maintaining municipal geospatial data, enters new data, changes and/or transfers into the GIS system. Maintains municipal geographical data and ensures the integrity and accessibility of data for all City departments. Receives updated data, site plans, and architectural drawings to maintain accuracy in the Enterprise Geodatabase; analyzes GIS Layers and Maps for quality and inaccuracies. Operates computers, plotters, and printers to make maps and/or PDF's, and maintains files and records of completed maps and other documentation. Performs other related duties as required.
