Job Summary & Core Responsibilities:

The Finance Intern will support the finance team in various tasks, including data analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial operations, learn industry-specific tools and software, and contribute to the preparation of financial documents and presentations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in pursuing a career in finance.

  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations for management.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by analyzing financial data and trends.
  • Conduct research and assist in financial modeling and analysis for decision-making purposes.
  • Help maintain and update financial databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in preparing accurate, meaningful reports on an ad hoc basis for senior management
  • Participating in cross-functional department meetings
  • Leasing Transaction Review (DRF Process) to evaluate creditworthiness of potential/existing railcar leasing customers
  • Supporting requests for market research reports
  • Support the organization while learning about a career in finance

Required Experience / Skills / Qualifications

  • Entry Level
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word)

Required Education / Training / Certifications

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
