Jon Michael Design a Taylor Corp. Company is looking for a talented Senior Graphic / Packaging Designerto join our creative team. As a Senior Graphic / Packaging Designer, you will be working closely with the Art Director and Senior Art Director on our innovation team. This team needs all new accounts and initiatives at the agency. Your main duties will include supporting the team by creating compelling designs new brand concepts for packaging, advertising, logos, merchandising, 360 campaigns, social media content shoots. This role is all encompassing and needs a multifaceted designed that enjoys all avenues of design.

You will be responsible for supporting the Art Director and Senior Art Director, taking on work from design, creative level work to setting up DTOs to pass to the production team once we align on specifications for printing, along with managing the back and forth for retouching and comps.

Strong knowledge of design software, exceptional graphic and design skills, as well as communication, creativity, organization, and collaboration skills are key functions of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Passionate, inspirational, and with an energy to create award-winning work, you will be the driving force leading and engaging the design team.
  • Working collaboratively with the Art Director and Senior Art Director, you will design work for new client programs within the design studio, from concept generation through to design completion
  • Lead by example to ensure that you and your team deliver exceptional creative work
  • Contribute ideas and original content for thought pieces, social media and sharing information internally
  • Responsibility for the day-to-day ownership of the quality of creative deliverables across a range of projects
  • Work closely with the Creative Team and Project Manager to ensure that creative output is delivered within the timings and budgets agreed and ensure that process and resources are appropriate

Requirements & Skills:

  • BFA or BS in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, or related major
  • 3-5 + years working experience in a related field such as Beauty or Fashion required
  • Experienced user of Adobe CC specifically: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat
  • Strong branding and design skills
  • Ability to render in 2D for presentations
  • In depth knowledge of packaging design, printing, materials, and structure
  • Retouching capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 3D rendering program experience is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office software (e.g., Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Demonstrable experience of being "good beyond the brief": consistently taking work to the next level
  • Responsible for the timely and precise creation of packaging designs, from concept to completion
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities, anticipate demands, communicate status appropriately
  • Ability to prepare mockup packaging for client review

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $70k - 80k. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employee.
