This is a 1st shift position: 7:00am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Overall Summary

As Maintenance Service Specialist I, the primary responsibilities are keeping the pH pits running within operating permit requirements and frequently monitor levels throughout the day during normal business hours. Secondary responsibilities are to assist with troubleshooting, repair and replacement of equipment.

Primary Responsibilities



  1. Responsible for monitoring all daily Industrial Wastewater Discharge Points (pH pits and Outfalls)

    • Proper operations to ensure working as designed and within Permits Specifications
    • Ensure necessary crucial spare parts are on-hand for all pH pits
    • Ensure all necessary chemicals are available for all pH pits
    • Completing all necessary PMs on time, editing PMs as necessary with management approval
    • Ensure all necessary Emergency Response materials are stored local to each site
    • Ensure proper documentation is completed within in our CMMS (Mainsaver) for audits purposes





Secondary Responsibilities



  1. Assist other maintenance technicians troubleshooting equipment and evaluating mechanical, hydraulic and electrical unit and controls to determine source of malfunction.
  2. Uses blueprints, machine specifications, and schematic drawings to determine repair procedures.
  3. Assists the removal and replacement of defective units, controls, or components
  4. Assists the startup, repaired and/or new equipment to verify readiness for operation.
  5. Complies with all health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and job hazard analyses applicable to specified job activities; including medical evaluations as required by job function.
  6. Must be willing to work overtime and/or be willing to report to work to repair system outages as needed and as directed by management
  7. Completes all required HSE and Compliance training
  8. Must have current valid driver's license.

About You

  • Working knowledge of soldering, welding and fabricating preferred
  • Working knowledge in the use of a VOM, clamp on Ammeter, Hammers, pliers and wrenches preferred.



Licensure, Registration and/or Certification

Current forklift and aerial license required or must be willing to obtain forklift and aerial license within first 6 months of hire.

YOUR EDUCATION

Required: H.S. Diploma or GED

Preferred: Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related technical field preferred

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Minimum 1 year experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician involving electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems OR minimum one year as Machinist.

Visual acuity requirements apply to the role, including peripheral, color, and depth perception.
