Job Description

Freedom Real Estate is seeking a Project Director to support the Vice President of Advisory Services with project oversight, day-to-day operations, client relationship management, and sales.

Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for overseeing the project teams assigned.
  • Lead a team of professionals through all phases of project development, implementation, and completion with 5+ projects running concurrently
  • Develop relationships with clients and vendors, identifying opportunities to create future sales.
  • Business development and client relationship management.
  • Respond to RFP/RFQ's to secure new opportunities
  • Plans, directs, and supports project development in order to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery in a safe manner with high quality.
  • Directs project oversight and project controls activities for programs. Develops and implements strategies in coordination with the executive team to assure projects are delivered timely and per scope and budget parameters.
  • Develops and implements strategies related to planning, design, construction, and management of projects.
  • Develops and maintains the project budgets, schedules, safety, and quality control objectives.
  • Makes presentations to Clients, Government Agencies, and community organizations.
  • Maintains regular communication of project status.
  • Develop, negotiate, and recommend Clients the approval of contracts and agreements with consultants, designers, contractors, and government agencies. Manage contracts through completion.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure record systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
  • Oversight and coordination of the legal and risk management functions for projects to include insurance, emergency planning and action/response, government regulations, and contracts.
  • Networking within the community to ensure the company is paying forward its successes.
  • Serve on the Board of Directors for non-profits and business organizations.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure project success and cultivate long-term partnerships that align with organizational goals.
  • Utilize advanced communication skills to negotiate persuasively, deliver executive-level reports, and resolve conflicts effectively while engaging diverse audiences to support project and company objectives.
  • Oversee multiple projects, resources, and timelines concurrently by applying exceptional organizational and program management skills to ensure timely and successful delivery of outcomes.
  • Align Projects with Strategic Goals: Coordinate construction projects to align with organizational objectives, proactively identify industry trends, and contribute to company-wide strategic planning to drive business growth.
  • Attend after-hours industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build professional relationships, represent the organization, and contribute to sales targets by identifying new project opportunities, supporting bid proposals, and securing contracts.

Job Requirements

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering or similar is required.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in management of capital projects and programs.
  • Candidate must be knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of project execution, including principles, practices, techniques of project and program management; regulatory requirements; scheduling; cost estimation; value engineering; contract negotiation and management; and oversight of professional services; to optimize the economic results of the business.
  • The primary focus of the individual shall be spent in directing the company's owner consulting services, developing, and supervising the team, developing, and ensuring the company's policies and procedures are followed.
  • Must have experience in strategic planning and execution, strong knowledge of contracting, negotiating, finance, accounting, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional certifications in Construction Management (CCM) and Sustainability (LEED AP or equivalent) is preferred.
  • U.S. Citizen.
