Library IT

The Library IT department works collaboratively with all Library service areas to provide Web Services, Application Development, and IT infrastructure support. The multi-unit team manages the Library's online presence and strategy, creating and managing business applications, providing technology support for Library employees, analyzing and improving IT service delivery, and managing IT-specific projects using AGILE methodology. The IT department prides itself on his strong and mutually beneficial relationship with Georgia Tech's Office of Information Technology (OIT) and its team members.

Job Summary

Technical Support Associates provide assistance and troubleshooting for Information Technology systems, applications, and hardware. They respond to user inquiries, resolve technical issues, and ensure the smooth operation of Information Technology systems and services.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Provide technical assistance and support to end-users for Information Technology systems, software, and hardware-related issues.

Job Duty 2 -
Troubleshoot technical problems, identify root causes, and resolve Information Technology issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Job Duty 3 -
Respond to user inquiries, service requests, and incidents through phone, email, or in-person communication channels.

Job Duty 4 -
Document technical solutions, troubleshooting steps, and issue resolutions in Information Technology ticketing systems.

Job Duty 5 -
Install, configure, and update software applications, drivers, and patches on user devices as needed.

Job Duty 6 -
Conduct user training, tutorials, and knowledge sharing sessions to enhance end-user Information Technology skills and knowledge.

Job Duty 7 -
Maintain Information Technology equipment inventory, track hardware assets, and assist with equipment setup and deployment.

Job Duty 8 -
Adhere to Information Technology policies, procedures, and security protocols to ensure data protection and system integrity.

Job Duty 9 -
Collaborate with Information Technology teams and vendors to escalate complex technical issues and coordinate problem resolution.

Job Duty 10 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma/Training Degree.

Required Experience
One or more years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong Audio Visual focus.

AVXA- CTS.. CertificationPreferred.
