MATERIALS SCHEDULER

COLUMBIA CITY, IN

As a member of the Materials Team, this role directly interfaces with the entire Materials Department. External Suppliers, and all other Departments as needed.

The Role:



  • Load and analyze customer demand and advise management of possible risks.
  • Organize and maintain materials department files on paper and in the system.
  • Contact vendors concerning material related issues.
  • Complete cycle count process as outlined by the Materials Manager.
  • Report monthly measurables.
  • Track inbound shipments.
  • Provide work instructions to the Materials Specialists and Material Handlers.
  • Review inventory levels to assure material availability.
  • Pull, verify, and report production requirements.
  • Assist with the processing of defective material, returns, scrap, and miscellaneous inventory adjustments and printing related reports.
  • Interface with material systems for maintenance.
  • CUM reconciliation with the customer and suppliers.
  • Maintain listing of current supplier and customer contacts.
  • Notify the Materials Manager, Plant Manager, Production Manager, and other appropriate personnel of any materials issues that may negatively impact the line or the customer.
  • Follow ISO14001and IATF16949 procedures/processes.



Your Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree (AA/AS); one plus year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in various multiple situations.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear.
