Duties and Responsibilities |
Reporting to the Associate Registrar for Transfer Articulation, the Assistant Registrar is responsible for managing the transfer credit evaluation process for undergraduate students. This person will work with students, faculty, staff, and others to provide expertise and guidance on the
Institution's transfer credit and academic policies, curriculum, program requirements, and technologies.
Duties include:
- Assists Associate Registrar in development, implementation, documentation, and training of transfer systems;
- Serve as a training resource for staff and administrators in transfer processes and workflows;
- Responsible for testing transfer process functionality for SIS system upgrades and implementations;
- Assists in research and review course descriptions to determine transfer of credit eligibility;
- Assists in maintenance and review of test and military credit;
- Monitor accuracy of evaluated transcripts based on university transfer credit policy;
- Review the university catalog annually to make any necessary updates to course equivalencies;
- Manages articulation rules in SIS and troubleshoots issues related to organization, school, and test set up;
- Assist with articulation data clean-up;
- Contributes to the continued improvement of the department through active participation in meetings, trainings, presentations, and related duties as assigned.
- Comply with all published university rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations relating to FERPA and confidentiality of information;
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience |
Bachelor's degree in related field and at least three-five years of related experience in higher education. |
Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree with three to five years' previous work experience; preferably working
with sensitive information and critical data
- Ability to multitask and to prioritize work in order to meet multiple deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly and professionally
in written and verbal interactions.
- An interest in working in higher education and in immersion in a diverse,
multicultural environment will be great assets in this position. |
Certificates/Credentials/Licenses |
Bachelor's Degree required. |
Computer Skills |
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Internet and email applications;
- Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions preferred;
- Knowledge or experience with TES and Transferology welcome;
