Duties and Responsibilities
Loyola University Medical Center is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatologist to join the Department of Pediatrics. Loyola University Medical Center has a level 3 NICU with a Fellowship Training Program in Neonatal-Perinatal medicine. In addition to clinical duties, candidates are expected to teach Medical Students and Pediatric trainees including fellows. Candidates will be part of the Loyola faculty with strong support of specialists and subspecialists, and a team approach to management of complex patients. An Illinois medical license is required at time of appointment.
Ronald McDonald Children's Hospital is a 125-bed tertiary care pediatric "hospital within a hospital" which consists of 50 neonatal intensive care beds, 25 newborn bassinets, 14 pediatric intensive care beds, 36 general inpatient and intermediate-care beds, providing care to a large multicultural population. The Department of Pediatrics is comprised of approximately 90 full time faculty members devoted to the care of children and adolescents from birth to 21 years of age. Our faculty include pediatric medical and surgical specialists as well as community based primary care physicians. Nursing care is delivered by a staff certified Magnet status since 2008, in a patient-centered environment. The residency training program consists of 30 categorical pediatric and 16 medicine-pediatrics resident trainees.

Established in 1961, Gottlieb is a 247-licensed-bed community hospital in Melrose Park with the Judd A. Weinberg Emergency Department, the Loyola Center for Metabolic Surgery and Bariatric Care and the Loyola Cancer Care & Research Facility at the Marjorie G. Weinberg Cancer Center. MacNeal is a 374-licensed-bed teaching hospital in Berwyn with advanced medical, surgical and psychiatric services, acute rehabilitation, an inpatient skilled nursing facility and a 68-bed behavioral health program and community clinics.
