Compensation Grade: P25Compensation Details: Minimum: $91,922.00 - Maximum: $91,922.00 AnnuallyDepartment (OHEHR) AI - AIDS InstituteJob Description: Responsibilities The Senior Program Coordinator will oversee the Bureau of HIV Ambulatory Care Services (BHACS) HIV prevention programs and contracts, including providing recommendations on policies and standards related to the provision of services to persons who are at risk and/or living with HIV. The incumbent will plan and implement programs designed to respond to the needs of persons experiencing HIV and STI disparities associated with inequitable access to quality care and social determinants of health. Duties include supporting the AIDS Institute (AI) and BHACS in achieving strategic goals and objectives, developing program standards, guidance, monitoring tools, monthly program and data reports, and supervising other staff. The incumbent will oversee the provision of technical assistance to contracted agencies; support BHACS staff with developing problem-solving strategies and identifying best practices; develop program reports and correspondence and perform other related duties. The incumbent will work directly with the AIDS Program Manager I to assess program models' overall effectiveness, quality of funded programs, and progress towards meeting Ending the Epidemic goals. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of program coordination experience in a public health, health, or human services-related program or community-based organization; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and six years of such experience; OR eight years of such experience. The experience must have been contributing toward the development, implementation and/or evaluation of a program, project or other related activities. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. At least two years of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a related field and at least two years of contract management experience. Knowledge of HIV/AIDS continuum of care services in NYS. At least two years of experience in administration and/or management of HIV/AIDS-related program services. At least two years of experience monitoring and evaluating program and quality improvement activities of community-based organizations or health service providers. Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, 25% of the time, will be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Telecommuting will be available. This position requires occasional work on weekends, after-hours, and holidays. HRI participates in the E-Verify Program.
