The Documentation Specialist role is within our Commercial Loan Services Department and is primarily responsible for preparing commercial and personal preliminary disclosures, including Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures, and ensuring loans comply with internal bank policies, as well as federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Ensures loan disclosures are prepared in accordance with the terms and conditions per the application and in compliance with regulatory requirements including TRID and Reg Z
  • Communicates with loan officers for any additional information needed to prepare loan disclosures
  • Orders flood certificates, background checks, fee estimates from title or online sources and other due diligence as required
  • Ensures work is completed by deadlines and accurately by planning, coordinating and monitoring daily activities
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned



Position Requirements:



  • 3-4 years experience working with TRID regulation
  • Knowledge of Regulations B, Z, RESPA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other federal and state laws and regulations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of complex consumer transactions, understanding of title reports and exceptions, and familiarity with Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures preferred.
  • Working knowledge of consumer lending policies preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required
  • Ability to make sound decisions and produce great work under general or limited supervision
  • Highly proficient PC skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and programs used to generate loan documents (knowledge of LaserPro is a plus)
  • Ability to adjust priorities to changing circumstances and maintain quality in fast paced atmosphere.
  • Great organization skills, must be very detailed oriented.
