Summary
Responsible for performing vascular ultrasound procedures to assess blood flow, detect vascular abnormalities, and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions. Essential FunctionsPerform a wide range of vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid, arterial, venous, and peripheral vascular studies. -Use Doppler and color-flow imaging to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities. -Oversee the maintenance and calibration of vascular ultrasound equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results. -Prepare and position patients for vascular ultrasound examinations. -Provide guidance to other vascular ultrasound technologists in the department and provide expertise in the field. -Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate ultrasound protocols for each patient. -Contribute to research projects or quality improvement initiatives within the department.
