Weston is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to support our growing business opportunities with Federal clients including, but not limited to, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal agencies. Weston draws on decades of site investigation and remediation experience to develop compliant and permanent solutions with unparalleled efficiency, effectiveness, and confidence that our clients seek from their trusted service provider. Weston has delivered on average 2,500 sustainable and permanent projects annually for clients in need of complex environmental solutions in sediments, groundwater, soil, surface water, air, and waste disposal sites by applying deep expertise in CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA and state regulations.

The preferred location for this position would be within the Central / West United States. A remote location is acceptable if within these regions.

Responsibilities/Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the technical and administrative aspects of large environmental investigation projects at various DoD installations and/or sites owned or operated by Federal entities throughout the western portion of the U.S. Responsibilities and expectations for this position include:

  • Management of CERCLA projects including site investigation, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, proposed plans, record of decisions, remedial designs, remedial actions, operations and maintenance, and long-term monitoring or RCRA equivalent phases of environmental restoration projects.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, regulators, project team members, and company management.
  • Ability to direct, manage, and lead multi-disciplined project teams to meet project budget and schedule.
  • Ability to successfully execute multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to provide technical and/or management support for a variety of internal company initiatives.
  • Ability to support business development efforts, including leading or supporting large proposal efforts to include developing site technical approaches, cost estimates, schedules, and subcontractor scopes of work.
  • Ability to identify project risks and develop mitigation approaches and strategies.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering, Geology, or related Science plus 12 to 15 years of demonstrated experience supporting environmental needs for federal government clients.
  • Having a PMP, PE, or PG would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory screening values and the risk assessment process.
  • Understanding of the CERCLA and RCRA process and requirements for restoration sites.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead, influence, and be a self-starter and shows a progressive increase in financial, and supervisory authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide input to strategic planning with clients to identify appropriate technical solutions within one or more of the service areas.
  • Previous leadership roles in a governmental agency or corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated success as a Project Manager in delivering projects safely and in a quality manner.
  • Demonstrated experience in Profit and Loss responsibilities in key service areas that include Firm Fixed Price, Time and Materials, and Cost-Plus contractual mechanisms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of environmental services and any related liability issues.
  • Experience with remedial technologies and approaches that can attain performance objectives within the required timeframes.
  • Experience managing remediation system construction and civil construction projects.
  • Ability to plan, assign and supervise specific work groups.
  • Ability to build coalitions with government officials, professionals, and other organizations at various levels of authority and influence.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $85,895-$113,570-$141,143
