Helen DeVos Children's Hospital (HDVCH) and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine seek a full-time Newborn Hospitalist to join our team in a split position between Grand Rapids and Lansing! Applicants should demonstrate a record of clinical excellence in newborn medicine, skill in delivery room management and neonatal resuscitation, and collaborative approach to working with the multidisciplinary team in Women's and Infant Services. This position will work out of both Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids (BW) and McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital (MCG) in Lansing; it is classified as an employed Corewell Health - HDVCH employee. Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible in Pediatrics. We will support successful candidates in obtaining circumcision credentialing and maintaining NRP certification. Basic Qualifications: Education - Medical Degree (MD or DO) Board-eligible/board-certified in Pediatrics Current M.D. or D.O. license for the state of Michigan Current State of Michigan and Federal Narcotics Licenses Certification - NRP (resuscitation) McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital McLaren Greater Lansing is a new hospital that opened in March 2022 on a new healthcare campus in Lansing, Michigan, on the southern edge of the Michigan State University campus. It is a tertiary teaching facility with 240 acute care beds and state-of-the-art women and children's health services including a modern birthing center where over 1,200 babies are born annually. Helen DeVos Children's Hospital HDVCH is a 241-bed tertiary care referral center with approximately 11,000 pediatric admissions per year, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. There are over 110,000 ambulatory visits, as well as over 55,000 children are seen in the Pediatric Emergency Department (Level 1 Trauma rated) each year. We are home to a large pediatrics residency program and 7 pediatric fellowship programs. Our faculty are heavily involved with teaching medical students, residents, and fellows both at the bedside and in the classroom. On the same campus is Butterworth Hospital where approximately 8,000 babies are delivered annually, of which the majority are cared for by the newborn hospitalist team.
