OVERVIEW: Job Title: Project Engineer Location: Transient | Paving Crew Job Type: Full-Time, Salary - Non-Exempt Work Schedule: Monday - Friday and Saturdays depending on the Project Schedule Performance Evaluated by: Project Manager The Project Engineer will work with our Pre-Construction team, Project Managers and other supervisory level employees on the jobsite and complete various assigned task. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: *RC will gladly provide a reasonable accommodation to assist Project Engineers in performing these essential job functions so long as it does not create an undue burden.
- Assist with coordination of the implementation of a project, project schedules/forecasts, daily operations of field work activities and organization of subcontractors
- Use of effective communications between engineering, technical, construction, and project control groups to assist the Project Manager
- Electronically file and log project data (drawings, subcontractor quotes, RFIs, photos and inspection reports, etc.)
- Assist Project Manager and Construction Quality Control Managers in tracking and managing submittals
- Attend weekly site meeting and prepare meeting minutes; review with Superintendent and Project Manager for potential cost changes
- Review of deliverables
- Bill of materials creation and maintenance
- Regular project status reports
- Any and all duties assigned by supervisory level mentors throughout the internship (Pre-Construction Director, Estimator, Construction Quality Control Manager, Site Safety Health Officer, Project Administrator, Engineer, Superintendent, and the Project Manager)
- Abide by all policies set by company in employee manual
- Abide by and follow all safety regulations, maintain a safe and hazard free work environment, identify and report all potential hazards to proper personnel.
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to multi-task (prioritize work), thrive in a fast-paced team environment, have great attention to detail, and possess excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, Superintendent and Project Manager
- Must be able to take direction and follow instructions
- Proficient in using a pc and be willing to learn how to use new software applications
- Be able to obtain and maintain military base access
- Have a reliable method of transportation to and from the jobsite

- Ability to frequently lift to 30 pounds up to 3 feet off the ground
- Ability to repeatedly operate a 12-pound sledgehammer throughout the entire workday and workweek
- Ability to climb up and down a 6-foot step ladder and balance
- Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes
- Vision adequate to perform all tasks
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed to perform job tasks
- Employee is regularly exposed to loud noise, dust, airborne particles, fumes, and various types of smells
- Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and high precarious places
- Employee is regularly exposed to a variety of inclement weather conditions such as: cold, wet, hot, and/or humid conditions
