The Coordinator of Housing Administration and Off-Campus Living plans and directs the administrative functions of the Residence Life Department while working closely with the Director and Assistant Director on a daily basis. They serve as the initial contact for all staff, students, and visitors in the Gewirz Student Center. Specifically, the Coordinator monitors and reconciles department cost center reports, housing deposits, and all payments for the academic year and summer housing to ensure compliance with financial procedures. The person in this position is responsible for facilitating the administration of academic year assignments and billing processes. The coordinator also facilitates the administration of summer housing business functions. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
The Coordinator must develop a knowledge base of local apartment communities and serve as a presenter for all off-campus housing events held on campus and is expected to be the primary resource for off-campus housing information, including:
Through knowledge of the off-campus housing community, the Coordinator will work closely with the Director in determining rate setting for on-campus housing. The Coordinator will be expected to get to know the apartment communities within walking distance of campus and establish contacts that will be helpful for Georgetown Law students seeking off-campus housing. Work Interactions The Coordinator of Housing Administration is crucial to the smooth running of the Office of Residence Life as the position serves as the primary contact with the student administrative staff and the principal financial manager in the department. While the principal role of Residence Life is to manage the on-campus resident population, the Coordinator serves a vital role as a resource for those seeking off-campus housing. This position reports directly to the Director of Residence Life and Student Housing, but will work daily with the Assistant Director of Residence Life on a number of collaborations. The Coordinator of Housing Administration and Off-Campus Living manages all administrative and financial aspects of Residence Life, which allows the Assistant Director of Residence Life to focus on the residents' well-being and programming that makes Gewirz a unique place to live. Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $44,022.00 - $73,406.80 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
