MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
|
1. Associates degree in Land Use Planning, Physical, Biological, or Political Science or related field. 2. 2-3 years' experience in an office setting with intermediate to advanced use of computer software. 3. Ability to provide and maintain a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.

1. Bachelor's degree in Land Use Planning, Physical, Biological, or Political Science or related field. 2. Environmental fieldwork experience.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
|
1. Monitor Permits to ensure renewals are conducted in a timely manner and conditions are communicated to the appropriate managers. 2. Perform environmental site visits at Aggregate, Ready Mix, Asphalt, and Construction Yard sites. 3. Assess compliance with applicable rules and permits to include Air, Stormwater, Hazardous Waste, Spill Prevention. 4. Create a schedule to inspect inactive covered sites annually. 5. Collect samples as required by permit. Submit samples to laboratories utilizing approved protocols. 6. Assist with land use permitting. 7. Communicate land use conditions to operations 8. Manage and ensure EPA, DNR, state, local, safety and environmental regulation compliance. 9. Assist in the collection of data for individual locations and permits to provide weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual reports. 10. Attend county and township board meetings to obtain conditional use permits - answer questions about permit applications, as needed. 11. Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors. 12. Perform other duties as assigned.

1. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and strategic organization skills, Able to work productively with a wide variety of personnel in other roles including management, supervisory, operational, financial, and other technical and administrative staff. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with regulatory agencies. 2. Excellent computer, verbal and written communication skills, as well as public speaking/presentations. 3. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. 4. Ability to travel throughout operating division on an intermittent basis to connect with field operations and managers.
