Summary:
Responsible for the coordination and technical leadership of electronic hardware strategies and the electrical design and development of customer products. Growth focus is systems engineering, leading electrical and mechanical design team as well as test engineering to ensure customer requirements are met.

Responsibilities:
Develop complex, embedded systems that require knowledge of schematic design, product design, electrical architectural models and prototype testing.

Think outside of the box to implement innovative and effective solutions.

Adapt quickly to obstacles and changing demands.

Evaluate systems and make recommendations for improvements and solutions.

Work with a team to ensure projects are completed effectively and efficiently.

Provides requirements-based analysis, functional allocation, basic architecture, system interfaces, system behavior, data structure, and system verification and validation support to the development team.

Interacts with customer to define system interfaces, operational use cases, and system behavior to ensure user community's needs are provided by the product/system.

Helps promote standardization and reuse of design building blocks across programs and products.

Additional Specific Qualifications for Position:

Demonstrate a basic engineering level understanding of electronic components, circuits and systems and troubleshooting;

Ability to utilize this level of understanding to creatively and efficiently design products and assemblies based on various applications and technologies

Demonstrate a good understanding of mechanism design; Ability to creatively and efficiently design mechanical portions of products, tooling and test fixtures based on various applications and technologies

Ability to make judgments, with management guidance, using sound engineering principles and techniques

Proven ability to complete projects in a timely manner

Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required

Ability to work well individually or in teams

Ability to take on project leadership/ownership with management guidance

Demonstrate ability to work effectively with suppliers or customers

Knowledge of schematic capture tools, including but not limited to: Cadence OrCad, Cadence Concept, Mentor Design Architect, Mentor Design Capture, Mentor DX Designer, Veribest, Innoveda

Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal with internal and external customers

Available for travel up to 5% of the time, including day and overnight travel as required

Knowledge of MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering Tools)

EXPERIENCE:

* Familiar with Military systems and development to include MIL-STD test (810, 461, 704, 1275, etc)

* Familiarity with Information Assurance and Computer security requirements.

* Familiarity with Power Systems specifications and development.

* Duties include development project support from program capture and initiation through qualification.

* Knowledge of embedded computer system design to include networks and operating systems.

Knowledge of MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering Tools)

QUALIFICATIONS:

4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by senior management

0-5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, developing electronic hardware and software, system requirements, system design, system test

Full Time

Compensation Range: $98,952.00 to $148,428.00 USD Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
