Job Summary: The Warranty Manager is responsible for managing the warranty submission process from the time a warranty work order closes to the settlement of a warranty claim, to ensure the company receives the maximum reimbursement from the respective Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). In addition, this position is responsible for the training and supervision of the warranty team, and collaborates with other operational departments to ensure optimal performance as we provide a high level of service to our customers. Essential Functions:
- Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
- Personally models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
- Leads and manages the warranty department for accurate and timely claims filing to obtain the maximum reimbursements from the OEMs
- Collaborates with other operational departments and OEMs for continuous improvement opportunities in claims filing practices and processes to receive optimal financial recovery of warranty dollars
- Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure claims are administered accurately, consistently, and timely in order to maximize claims recovery
- Manages departmental metrics to align the warranty department with organizational goals and Caterpillar performance measurements
- Develops and maintains accurate and effective databases to ensure the processing of warranty claims are efficient and timely
- Creates, validates, and disseminates ad hoc reports in order to improve collections and reimbursement of warranty claims
- Analyzes warranty data to identify opportunities to improve the claims filing process and provides input to other operational departments
- Responsible for the overall performance, supervision, and training of assigned warranty team
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of construction equipment, parts and service
- Knowledge of applicable principles, practices, and methods of accounting
- Exceptional business acumen and attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced skills with MS Office products and Monday.com
- Strong data mining and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline oriented
- Ability to plan, delegate and review the work of others and provide feedback effectively and effectively
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to handle large amounts of data and high volume of transactions
- Ability to read and comprehend computer-based schematics, specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, safety manuals, and other related publications
- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
- Minimum five years of applicable field experience required, eight or more years of experience preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position directs and manages the Warranty Claims Specialist team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Travel:
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office
- This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers
- Occasionally moves or transports items weighing up to 10 lbs.
Work Environment:
- This job is generally performed in a professional office environment
- Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
- Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
