Description: NSI requires a Senior Logistics Manager to support PMA 265 PSMI Program Office. The Logistics Manager will provide Readiness Cell data analytical support to the NAVAIR PMA-265 F/A-18 & EA-18G Program Office. This support will provide PMA-265 leadership with decision making information essential to successfully achieving program goals in an effective and cost-worthy manner.

Location: Lexington Park, MD

Education: MS or MA Degree in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Business, Engineering, or Management. Bachelor's Degree plus four (4) years additional work experience may be substituted for a master's degree.

Experience: At least ten (10) years' FTE experience in acquisition or operational logistics support and

maintenance engineering. Four (4) years directing acquisition or logistics managers in the performance of comprehensive analysis across the spectrum of IPS elements during a job assignment in or in support of an acquisition command. Four (4) years of DOD logistics support experience to include specific experience in acquisition planning and management including logistics planning, scheduling, execution and support system effectiveness analysis, studies and evaluations in support of DOD weapons systems and equipment. Two (2) years of specific experience in operational logistics planning and management.

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Desirable Skills/Abilities:

  • Have experience in Calculus, Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, and Basic Linear Algebra.
  • Have a basic understanding of the Levels of Aviation Maintenance and the purpose for each, reference COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2D (most current iteration) with focus on pertinent chapters.
  • Have a basic understanding of Maintenance documentation, general familiarity with records that comprise a Work Order/Maintenance Action Form (MAF) and data within those records, reference COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2D (most current iteration) with focus on pertinent chapters.
  • Have a basic understanding of Flight data, general familiarity with records that comprise Naval Flight Record (NAVFLIR) and data within those records, reference CNAF M-3710.7 (most current iteration), chapter 10 and Appendixes. Have a basic understanding of Aircraft Inventory Accounting, Mission Capability Reporting and Configuration Management.
  • Have an understanding of reliability metrics, and how to calculate them (Mean Flight Hours between Removals (MFHBR/MEFHBR), Non/Partially Mission Capable (NMC/PMC) Time, Beyond Capable Maintenance (BCM) rates, Cost (M&S Cost per FH), etc.).
  • Have a working knowledge and functionality of Tableau Dashboards to include but not limited to Reliability Control Board related and other Reference Dashboards.
  • Understand how to run and create Cognos AdHoc queries and run DECKPLATE AdHoc and Canned Reports using appropriate source packages/folders/data elements for Flight, Maintenance, Inventory, Material and Cost with MS I.E.
  • Highly proficient with the Microsoft Professional Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Power Point, and Project; detailed oriented; well-developed written and oral communication skills; ability to read, write and review technical documents, reports and drawings; ability to track and report status of assigned tasking, ability to assess established business processes, identify/document business process problems and recommend business process improvement initiatives; strong team building skills and ability to develop and coordinate with a highly agile and integrated network of team members required to successfully perform assigned tasking.
