As an Enterprise Architect II, you will provide a secure, integrated IT infrastructure that supports the business and helps achieve its goals.Enterprise Architect II Works under the general supervision of the Enterprise Architect Manager. Serves in the Office of Technology in the Headquarters Office (CHQ). Through the Enterprise Architecture team, creates a roadmap, technical architecture, and implementation designs and development of the Airports Authority's Infrastructure (i.e., data center) to ensure the Office of Technology's objectives align with the Airports Authority's business goals and objectives. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Interfaces with multiple Airports Authority Offices to develop a comprehensive understanding of their business needsto develop a cohesive enterprise technology strategy that supports an efficient and secure IT environment to meet the Airports Authority's current and future business needs. Leads the evaluation of business needs to define technical requirements, identify gaps and risks, evaluates options, and define the technical blueprint for implementation. Ensure the recommended hardware is compatible with the software and applications that will run on the system. Works with other Office of Technology departments in planning and implementing enterprise architecture, including short- and long-term strategies for retiring or consolidating legacy systems, integrating existing systems, and implementing new systems. Works to ensure the Airports Authority's IT and technology assets are secure through the development of appropriate standards, policies, models, and procedures and a comprehensive computer network defense (CND) for all Airports Authority systems and domains. Ensures the Office uses service-oriented architecture (SOA) approaches toward application integration for software quality and re-usability. Serves as a promoter of architectural vision, strategy, standards, and principles to lead to the successful delivery of enterprise systems. Has responsibility for infrastructure architecture, development, release management strategies, and change management, and provides hands-on leadership in designing solutions that meet or exceed Airport Authority needs. Prepares written materials and prepares and presents formal briefings to the Board, Board Committees, and the Airports Authority's senior executive staff regarding proposed architecture solutions. Assess performance and scalability requirements of the system and determine hardware resources needed to support those requirements - may involve estimating CPU, memory, storage, and network bandwidth requirements. May recommend specific hardware components such as servers, storage arrays, networking equipment, and other peripherals, which may include evaluating vendors and their product offerings to determine which best meet the requirements of the system. Maintains an up-to-date awareness of technological advances to help management plan for future requirements in its efforts to align IT infrastructure to support business goals. Stay updated on various technology vendors and their products to make informed decisions about procurement and integration. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Nine years of progressively responsible experience in IT/technology including successfully implementing one or more enterprise technology solutions; defining and delivering enterprise solutions in a technical and technical leadership role; and analyzing, designing, and optimizing Infrastructure, and Enterprise Integration solutions. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Two of the nine years must be providing technical architecture and implementation design and development of network enterprise solutions. Knowledge of IT principles, including system architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods to evaluate existing IT infrastructure, identify weaknesses, strengths, and potential to create enterprise architecture plans that align with and support business goals. Skill in analyzing complexities of existing technology, reviewing/revising/developing policies, planning enhancements and providing technical and cost analyses to all management levels. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices. Ability to establish future-state, baseline, and migration architecture for cybersecurity, network, telephony, datacenter infrastructure hardware, application, and data. Knowledge of optimizing data center operations to ensure efficient use of resources and maximum uptime. Expertise in Design/Development/Architecture of emerging technologies, such as cloud computing, DevSecOps, microservices, AI, and IoT, and their impact on enterprise architecture. Demonstrated ability to build, lead, verify, and validate complex and critical enterprise network, and telephony integrations. Knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Proficiency in managing organizational change and transitioning from current to future state architectures. Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and information security to effectively manage data as a strategic asset. Knowledge of and skill in capability-based architecture roadmap, design implementation, code review, change management, and architecture governance to achieve future-state enterprise network architecture. Ability to make complex analyses of data and information and make recommendations. Ability to speak and write effectively, with emphasis on providing written documentation and oral briefings to sufficiently support rendered analyses and judgements. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Physical Science, or related field. Certification by Open Group as an Open Group Certified Architect (Open CA) or Relevant Architectural certifications (Cloud, Networking, Datacenter etc.) Technology experience in the transportation industry and, with an airport and/or toll road operation. EDUCATION A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field. CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED A state driver's license in good standing. NECESSARY SPECIAL FACTORS Work is typically reviewed in progress and upon completion for quantity, quality, timeliness, teamwork, customer service, and other factors. Must be able to work standard on-call rotation and varied schedule of days and times outside normal business hours. Is subject to hold over and recall on a 24-hour basis for essential services and emergencies. A background security investigation will be required for all new hires.
