DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will serve as a Coordinator for the Medium- and Large-scale Award Tracks responsible for the development, planning, and administration of the Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP), Reducing Industrial Sector Emissions in Pennsylvania (RISE PA) grant program, which is funded through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Climate Pollution Reduction Grants. You will conduct this work consistent with DEP and EPA strategic goals and funding requirements, including those related to Justice 40 and workforce development. The Coordinator will serve as a central contact and will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to manage and administer the Medium-scale Award Track (MAT) and Large-scale Award Track (LAT) within RISE PA, which will allocate $100,000,000 and $220,000,000, respectively, to industrial facilities for medium- and large-scale industrial decarbonization projects. The types of projects that are eligible to receive funding through the MAT and LAT include: energy efficiency, electrification, fuel-switching, industrial process emissions reduction technologies, on-site renewable energy generation, carbon capture utilization and storage, and fugitive emissions reduction technologies. The MAT Coordinator will provide technical assistance to applicants, evaluate and score project proposals, and manage all projects that receive funding through the MAT and LAT. This employee will also assist with RISE PA program development in addition to performing research assignments, gathering and analyzing program data, and preparing the Industrial Decarbonization Playbook report. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position may require travel.

If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of professional experience in energy resources, energy utilization and conservation, energy technologies, or the economic impacts of energy issues, and a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Energy Policy; or
- Three years of professional experience in energy resources, energy utilization and conservation, energy technologies, or the economic impacts of energy issues and a bachelor's degree; or
- A master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Energy Policy; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
