Scheller College of Business undergraduate program ranked top 20 in the nation for a third year in a row (U.S. News & World Report). The Evening MBA program was recognized as No. 1 in the state (U.S. News & World Report), and the Jones MBA Career Center remained top five in the world for the sixth year in a row (The Financial Times). Job Summary

As a member of a School or College's senior management team, the Executive Director of Admissions & Recruitment will establish and execute admissions standards and selection criteria and advise faculty and staff on admissions-related issues. Develop and implement plans to drive the development of recruiting activities that support the institution's strategic admissions goals and align with the strategic direction for the student enrollment program. Establish departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact. Direct the development and implementation of plans designed to drive student recruitment and retention, provide strategic leadership, and serve as a key unit leadership team member. Coordinate enrollment activities and liaise with the admissions, financial aid, and registrar departments to ensure needs are met and exceed annual and semester enrollment goals. Responsible for establishing group/departmental/division goals, determining the resources needed to meet those goals, assessing group/departmental/division performance feedback, and making pay decisions.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Oversee the management of systems, structures, and processes that optimize recruitment, admission, and yield with careful attention to the Institute's strategic priorities around academic, demographic, and geographic variety.

Job Duty 2 -
Provide leadership and supervision of all recruitment and admission programs using data to identify potential students across all programs and to develop a comprehensive plan to recruit, select, and enroll a highly qualified, multi-talented, and multi-cultural student body; an integrated communication/marketing strategy in support of this plan; and on-going monitoring activities to evaluate the success of the plan.

Job Duty 3 -
Provide strategic leadership and serve as a key member of the Cabinet, the College leadership team, to ensure that the College will meet and exceed annual and semester student enrollment goals and oversee key enrollment initiatives, and provide a forward-thinking vision to assist the College with current and future graduate enrollment efforts and support the College's strategic plan.

Job Duty 4 -
Liaise with internal and external partners to collaborate in the management of the programs developed to support the strategic design of all levels of student admissions to ensure effective data management and reporting related to admission and recruitment efforts as well as financial aid support.

Job Duty 5 -
Articulate a vision for all aspects of the unit's outreach, recruitment, admissions, and yield activities and execute strategies to support the unit's graduate enrollment objectives, including fostering relationships across campus to lead in a highly collaborative centralized or decentralized academic environment. Engage with academic colleges and departments to discuss enrollment trends, recruitment strategies, and collaborative yield experiences.

Job Duty 6 -
Lead the development and execution of recruitment campaigns aimed toward domestic and international students. Represent the institution at key events, including conferences, workshops, and networking opportunities.

Job Duty 7 -
Contribute to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the College, School or function in collaboration with senior management.

Job Duty 8 -
Cultivate and maintain a culture that turns data into actionable information to inform recruitment and admission strategy. Among staff, partners, and key stakeholders, leverage predictive and prescriptive analytics, data analytics and visualization, and other analytical tools to create awareness, understanding, action, and ongoing evaluation of ROI.

Job Duty 9 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience
Ten or more years of job-related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business or Management related field.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with a student information system such as Banner and technologies such as those used in customer relationship management products. Familiarity with the roles of other key enrollment management positions on campus such as director of financial aid and scholarships, bursar, and registrar.

Skills in budgeting, assessment, strategic planning, highly developed communication skills, office and personnel management, highly developed analytical and decision-making skills, and highly developed interpersonal skills.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Requires the ability to manage business operations as well as marketing operations in an office that has two distinct functions: recruiting and processing applications

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of all applicable institutional policies as well as state and federal regulations. Knowledge of college/university recruitment and retention best practices. Knowledge of best practices in higher education marketing and communications. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other applicable technologies used in a modern office setting.

SKILLS
This position requires a high degree of skill in public speaking, oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, oversight of special events (such as those for recruiting applicants), analytical skills (ability to interpret data to inform planning), planning, and building effective internal and external business relationships.
