HR SPECIALIST

PINE GROVE PLANT

The Human Resource Specialist is responsible for performing all HR-related duties on a professional level. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager this position fulfills responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, affirmative action, and employment law compliance. Responsibilities are varied, requiring a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, independent judgment, and multitasking.

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:



  • Serves as a link between management and employees by managing questions, resolving work related problems, and interpreting and administering the collective bargaining agreement and all company policies and procedures.
  • Conducts full cycle recruitment for all salaried and hourly (union and Non-union) positions with the company.
  • Assists in maintaining the human resource information system (PeopleSoft/SuccessFactors) to process new hires, changes, terminations, transfers, promotions, etc.
  • Utilize Kronos system for attendance and timekeeping.
  • Assists in conducting investigations related to filed complaints as required.
  • Assists and/or administers disciplinary action as required.
  • Conducts and provides continuous improvement to our New Hire Orientation program.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

Your Qualifications:



  • Bachelors' Degree in Human Resources Management preferred or related discipline and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.3+ years' experience in Human Resources, PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Skilled knowledge or direct experience in Kronos processes is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, and people skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, word, PowerPoint and excel.
  • Union experience



Bonus If You Have:



  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
