POSITION SUMMARY:

Ridgewood Campus * Provides medical management and daily rounding for Medical Detox Unit * Perform admissions, history and physicals, and discharges to/from Medical Detox unit * Performs physical exams, clinical and basic psychiatric evaluations for Medical Detox patients * Manages communication between interdisciplinary teams, to include social work and medical team * Leads Rapid Response and initiates ACLS for patients at the Ridgewood Campus * Provides immediate medical care for outpatient imaging services, to included but not limited to contrast reaction, anaphylaxis * Escalates medical emergencies appropriately via 911 to Paramus campus as needed

EDUCATION:

*Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program as determined by the Committee on Allied Health. Education and Accreditation or a current Registered Professional Nurse and Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program/Masters in Nursing. *Current Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or for Advanced Practice Nurses a current Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). *Hold a valid, current New Jersey license. *Obtain a New Jersey CDS and federal DEA certificate upon employment if not already covered. *ACLS *Critical Care experience desired *Interest in detox and addiction medicine a plus *Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving.

EXPERIENCE:

* Critical care or emergency department experience desired

SPECIAL SKILLS:

* Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life support * Serves on call and weekend rotation as required
